As the Whatcom Community College women’s soccer program prepares for another season, sophomore defender Annabella Larson is ready to build on an impressive freshman campaign.
Coming from Olympia, Washington, Annabella made an immediate impact during her first season as an Orca. She appeared in 15 matches, earning 14 starts as a freshman. 11 of those starts being conference games. While starting on the back line, Annabella recorded 2 assists and 13 shots throughout the season, showing she is also a threat going forward.
Off the field, Annabella enjoys spending her free time outdoors with her family and friends. Whether she is exploring nature or relaxing with a good book, she highly values staying active and making meaningful connections with those around her.
In the classroom, Annabella is pursuing a Business Administration major with a minor in Public Relations and Journalism. Her passion for sports extends beyond just competing on the pitch. After college, she hopes to build a career in the industry. Annabella is interested in becoming either a social media and marketing manager or a sports reporter, combining her love for athletics with her communication and business skills.

Looking ahead to the 2026 season, Annabella is most excited about welcoming the team’s new players and continuing to build the strong culture established last year.
“I’m excited to meet all of the new players,” Larson said. “We had a solid run last season, and I’m looking forward to building off of that and making this year even better.”
With valuable experience already under her belt, Annabella will be an important piece of the Orcas’ defensive unit as the Whatcom women’s soccer team look to take another step forward this fall.
